I was asked to share my binder with the legal secretaries in my division in our Chicago and Washington, D.C. At the completion of the first initiative, I will present the guide to other administrativestaff in my association to get them on board. A few initiatives were developed out of the creation of this guide.
Previous adminstrative staff were even tasked with making him coffee every morning. His expectations of administrativestaff seem very outdated, more like 1950 than 2021. What matters is whether the federal government categorizes your job as what’s called “exempt” or “non-exempt.”
As a member of administrativestaff, I often feel looked down on and patronized, which makes it hard for me to bond with the other team members who are “above” us. My partner also assumes I hate my job, as though it’s a matter of course. (He He is also, in my opinion, an excessive complainer!).
