Because it was a new unit, a large percentage of the team were new to government service. I worked for a large government office where people would stay for 30+ years.

I don’t feel slighted that they never actually told me that they were pausing hiring, it was easy enough to figure out and totally understandable, I’m just not sure how to begin a correspondence again. they soft ghosted me?
