My grandfather died in 2018. He was 89 years old and he had been unwell for a number of years. During the last week of his life, he was surrounded by his family—his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren—as we said our goodbyes to a man who had left a lasting impression on all of us. At his funeral service the next week, I was asked to speak about some of my fondest memories of him.
