This post, my employer is pushing a sketchy healthcare app, high-pressure interviewer, and more , was originally published by Alison Green on Ask a Manager. I’ve worked at my company for more than a decade and used the health insurance offered since I started. Was this a high-pressure interviewer or just a jerk?
published an article online with interviews of professionals about their experiences of working with the implementation of the Norwegian action plans and guidelines for suicide prevention. [9] He found that the more baseline variables we include in a logistic regression, the further we are likely to get from the truth. [20]
The survey was conducted in June 2024 via computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI). The focus was on those who play a significant role in shaping, contributing to or making final decisions on their organization’s generative AI strategy.
Editor’s Note: This interview of Anniek Lemmens by Mad in the Netherlands’ Monique Timmermans first appeared on Mad in the Netherlands on February 24, 2024. It seems that doctors are sometimes reluctant to admit the alleged error because of their liability and insurance policies. I‘m happy to see Anniek, 40 years old, again.
Can I ask for a phone interview before investing time in an in-person interview? I had an interview recently where it went well, but I realized that we had entirely different expectations on travel (I think they thought my limit of 10% was an opening position). It’s five answers to five questions. Here we go….
It was covered under our insurance and she knows it is but she made the choice to not have an ambulance called. I actually ended up emailing him my resignation because calling presented too many logistical problems, and I’m really glad I made that decision because it gave me way more control over the situation.
The questions ranged from logistics about onboarding, to asking if Jane could arrive late on her first day! I spilled aftershave on myself before an interview. On the way to an interview today, I realized that I had spilled my partner’s aftershave on myself and noticeably smelled.
When I was interviewing for my position, I mentioned my desire to pursue a Master’s Degree, and was assured that TC encourages its employees to advance their education, and that in fact, they offer an Educational Assistance program for employees that will pay 70% of the degree (assuming it falls within certain parameters).
We do not make every candidate do this, but if we are still seriously considering them after the interview, we use it as a major part of deciding whether to hire them or not. Are you comfortable screening out people who just can’t make this work with the logistics of their lives? Is she allowed to tell me I can’t work?
Would it be a totally bad idea to leave my long-term, stable job (which I dislike, but does pay the bills / my insurance) to go after this one? I’m currently interviewing for a new role, and I believe an offer to be imminent. How should I respond to post-interview ghosting? All of which is to say … probably not.
It’s ironic, because before getting this job, I neglected my health because I didn’t have good insurance. You may also like: how do you get time off work to go to interviews without lying? But I’m really struggling with asking for even occasional time off to go to the doctor.
If anyone asks about it, you can matter-of-factly say, “Yeah, it made the logistics of coming for a week a lot easier.” But when I interviewed at one counseling agency (not the job I accepted), they asked why I wasn’t pursuing full-time employment at Agency X. Bring your dog! That’s perfectly reasonable.
The reader, Karen Climer, runs this entertainment business for kids , and she graciously agreed to do an interview for us. Tell me about the logistics. Oh wait, I just remembered that my insurance requires him to wear eye protection (those gag glasses with windshield wipers). So you’re a magician for kids! Through an agency?
Many admitted they are struggling to keep competing environmental concerns top of the agenda, and the survey interviews also reveal a degree of industry ‘push back’ over ESG. Other trending topics include artificial intelligence (AI), with nearly half of survey respondents or their companies having used AI in the past year.
Listen to the audio of the interview here. Many of these programs don’t even take insurance, so well-off families pay cash, making them the true clients. Building a robust community system is expensive and logistically complicated. The transcript below has been edited for length and clarity.
Interviewer scheduled a phone call with me but never called. Unfortunately employers flake on phone interviews all the time — sometimes reappearing later and sometimes not. If you think there’s even a chance you might feel self-conscious, go for sweats instead. It’s rude, but there’s not much you can do about it. Is this common?
