D octors are not trained to think critically. My fellow students and I started our first year ‘pre-clinical’ training with 4 ½ days a week of lectures. By the end of the training, when I finally qualified as a doctor, I was exhausted. After all, they were highly trained, highly skilled doctors involved in research.
